Large process plants require an enormous amount of energy. In order to improve the efficiency of their production processes, operators often have to use every energy-saving option available and switch to evermore efficient capacity control systems for compressors. 

A compressor fitted with an appropriate monitoring and control system can considerably stabilise and optimise the respective process in the plant. Developments in the field of compressor monitoring and control are therefore of particular importance to us.

Take for example the HydroCOM system we launched onto the market - a fast-acting, accurate control system for the energy-saving operation of reciprocating compressors. This stepless control system allows the operator to compress only the required amount of gas, thereby avoiding unnecessary energy expenditure on compressing gas that would be surplus to requirements.
In addition, HydroCOM facilitates the start-up and shut-down of industrial processes, thereby increasing process reliability and at the same time creating a diagnostic platform for plant monitoring.
In no time at all, the operator can adjust the compressor according to varying process conditions, set the compressor to automatically compensate for such variations and therefore optimise the performance of the entire plant.
