HydroCOM

HydroCOM is a fast-acting, accurate control system for the safe and energy-saving operation of reciprocating compressors. This stepless control system allows the operator to compress only the required amount of gas, thereby avoiding unnecessary energy expenditure on compressing gas that would be surplus to requirements.

In addition, HydroCOM facilitates the start-up and shut-down of industrial processes, thereby increasing process reliability and at the same time creating a diagnostic platform for plant monitoring.

In no time at all, the operator can adjust the compressor according to varying process conditions, set the compressor to automatically compensate for such variations and therefore optimise the performance of the entire plant.

The basic principle of HydroCOM

During the compression stroke, an unloader holds the suction valve open to reduce the suction gas volume to the desired amount. HydroCOM releases the unloader at the desired capacity to close the suction valve so that only the gas remaining in the cylinder is compressed.

Easy system integration

Clear system interfaces allow easy and straight forward integration of compressor and HydroCOM. Due to its modular design HydroCOM is easy to integrate into both existing and new compressor installations.
