A reliable and periodic recording of operating data of machines is essential for condition-oriented maintenance. Many faults announce themselves in advance, e. g. when certain operating parameters such as pressure or temperature deviate from the nominal values.
If these deviations are recognised early, maintenance activities can be planned and coordinated in line with the production schedule.
