Thermosleeve packing
The heat conducting pressure packing
- heat conducting pressure packing designed with all service possibilities e.g. lube, vented and purged
- lower operating temperature of packing rings
- easy to retrofit and to maintain
- longer service life of the pressure packing
A simple idea removes the need of water cooling
The new design forms a direct path for heat conduction from the packing assembly to the cylinder housing using a special cup and an expanding sleeve. There is no more need for direct water cooling of the packing assembly. By this design principle a durable metal to metal contact between packing and cylinder guaranteeing direct heat removal is created by the integrated expanding sleeve.
Conventional design
The insulating air jacket between packing and cylinder wall requires an expensive cooling system susceptible to failure.
Thermosleeve packing
The Thermosleeve facilitates heat removal directly into the cooling channel of the cylinder. A separate cooling system for the pressure packing is no longer required.
